D&B DUNSRight® Process
Linking and checking information
Information is collected, collated, and checked in a multistage process to provide you with reliable information.
We ensure that our information is
- accurate
- complete
- current
- consistent
The DunsRight® quality assurance process covers more than 2,000 individual, automatic checks and additional manual checks.
The process
Information is collected and collated from a variety of sources, compared and matched to a D&B D-U-N-S® Number. Group affiliations and predictive indicators are added to the existing data.
Global database: Data is collected from a variety of sources across the globe for collation at D&B. This ensures a comprehensive database.
Matching processes: The data collected is compared, matched to its respective company and integrated into the D&B database. All of the data collected is compared. Every piece of information is matched to the corresponding company and fed into D&B database. This gives you a clear picture of each company.
D&B D-U-N-S® Number: A D&B D-U-N-S® Number is allocated as a unique identifier for each company, enabling us to follow changes in that company. We then clean the data and remove duplicates using this identity code. Apart from that, we use the matched information to map out corporate linkages.
Corporate linkages: Affiliated companies, like members of company groups, are revealed. This gives you a clear overview of the whole risk situation. At the same time, the information shows you where new opportunities lie – e.g. in cross-selling activities.
Predictive indicators: We evaluate corporate economic power. Indicators are based on statistical models, factoring in previous developments in the prediction. This gives you a secure decision basis.
